The course covers the entry level of traffic control. Begins with a short classroom presentation, and then we will go out and set up a site on the road. Run in Christchurch on request, and in other locations in conjunction with TMO.

This course is the next level up after TTM worker. Become a non- practising TMO. Later, you’ll need to get a practical assessment to become a practicing TMO (this is not included – it’s done at a later date. You’ll need to do some minor setups in your everyday work, and document them).
Duration: 1 day course, anywhere in NZ
Qualification gained: TMO card from NZTA, Unit Standard 31960

Learn how to identify and control hazards in two environments: Cat A environment is low-speed Roads under 60 km/h; Cat B environment is for high-speed roads with a speed limit of 70kmh or higher. Set the sites up in urban and rural areas.
Duration: 1 day each, or combined A&B theory in 1 long day

This is a practical assessment of set up on the road including a stop-go operation. You need to bring along documentation of two other set ups you’ve been in charge of.
Duration: Both assessments for 1 day which covers both A & B (We can cater to more than one person at once)
Qualification gained: STMS Card A & B from NZTA, 31963 Beginner Standard 20 credits
